Apple, Cherry & Strawberry Pudding

INGREDIENTS

    3 cups peeled, sliced & cooked granny smith apples or 1 large tin apples
    1 egg
    2 heaped tsp baking powder
    4 heaped Tbsp flour
    Pinch of salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
    1/2 cup milk
    1 Tbsp melted butter
    1/2 cup cherries
    1/2 cup strawberries cut in half

    Sauce
    2 Tbsp Butter 
    2 Tbsp Syrup

MAKING THE MAGIC

Heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Warm apples and place into buttered dish (20 cm x 20 cm).

Sift flour, salt, sugar and baking powder together. Beat egg and milk together, add to flour mix. Lastly mix in melted butter.

Sprinkle cherries and strawberries over the apples and pour over batter. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until done.  

For the sauce, melt the butter and syrup for 2 minutes before taking out the pudding.  Pour melted sauce over cooked pudding and cut into squares. 

Serve hot with cream or ice cream.
